The selected books are divided into four categories according to age groups: 3-5 years 6-8 years 9-11 years and 12-14 years. This year’s selection was made by a committee that includes the staff of Albertine Books in New York City, the AEFE network of North America, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S., and the French Embassy in Canada. ![]() The theme of the 2023 prize selection is Coexisting. The Prix Albertine Jeunesse is open to the network of accredited French schools (AEFE-FISNA) and all American public schools with a French section/program. ![]() ![]() It aims to encourage the practice and love of reading in both French and English. An annual young readers’ choice award, the Prix Albertine Jeunesse invites children ages 3 to 14 to vote for their favorite book from a selection of works of Francophone youth literature available in English translation. ![]()
